Changelog
Fork & Follow changelog
Dated updates to the iPhone beta and this site, newest first.
— Site
- The homepage now says the iPhone app is in beta on TestFlight now, with invites going out from the waitlist. Removed the old “at launch” wording.
- Added “Built by Nygle Gillett in Rolling Hills, CA.” to the footer of every page.
- FAQ: “Does it cost anything?” It's free for diners, and restaurant tools are free during early access too.
- Said that nudges are opt-in and can be turned off, the map shows which saved spots are open and closest, and sharing a spot doesn't need a friends list.
- For restaurants: creators can show their content puts people in seats, not just views.
- The headline now says what the app does: save every spot before you forget it.
- “How it works” now names Threads next to Instagram and TikTok.
- The hero says who early access is for: Rolling Hills, the South Bay, then LA. Everyone else can pick “Other” to hear when we expand.
- Added this changelog and an llms.txt file.
- Checked the homepage and waitlist form on a 375px iPhone screen. Fixed the top bar running off the screen, made the bottom “Join the waitlist” button full size, made form fields 16px so iPhone doesn't zoom in, and made links and the close button easier to tap.
— Site
- Added the About page and the “Why I built this” section on the homepage.
- Linked Threads next to Instagram.
- Posted the latest @forkandfollowapp reels (Oct 2 and Oct 3) and put them on the homepage.
